SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - The No.2 ranked Spring Arbor University women's soccer team opened Crossroads League play Saturday night with a 5-0 road win over the University of Saint Francis.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars controlled play in the first half hitting multiple shots, but had a difficult time finding the back of the net.
- Junior midfielder Casandra Besteman scored the lone goal of the first half in the 33rd minute.
- The Cougars found their rhythm in the second half and three different players scored, including senior Kelly Hoffius. Playing in her first match of the season after suffering a preseason injury, Hoffius found the back of the net twice. Bethany Balcer and Renee Broekhuizen also added goals while junior Lauren Orr added two assists.
- Goalkeepers Ashley Timmons and Alison Keizer recorded the shutout.
