SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team shot a season-best 52 percent in an 84-53 victory over Bethel College in Crossroads League action Wednesday night from the SAU Fieldhouse.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor posted its fifth win in its last seven games with a dominant performance against Bethel.
- The Pilots scored the first four points of the night, but the Cougars responded with 12 unanswered and would never trail again.
- Spring Arbor limited Bethel to 27 percent shooting and 5-of-24 from three-point range while firing at a blistering 52 percent and knocking down 10 three-pointers.
FOR THE COUGARS
- Rachel Nelson dropped a season-high 23 points to lead the way for SAU. Nelson narrowly missed a double-double after grabbing nine rebounds while also adding four assists.
- Gracie Cabana and Sara White also reached double figures with 16 and 15 points, respectively.
- Ryann Laier hauled in a game-high 13 rebounds with eight points and four assists. Autumn Goggin added nine points and five assists.
- Spring Arbor finished the night going 30-for-58 from the field and 10-for-22 from behind the arc. The Cougars were also 14-for-15 from the free throw line.
- The Cougars dominated the glass, out-rebounding the Pilots 49-32.
FOR THE PILOTS
- Bethel was led by Jessica Erwin with 17 points and Kamala Glenn with 15.

Spring Arbor (8-10, 2-5 CL) will play its next two games away from home beginning with a trip to Grace College (9-10, 3-4 CL) on Saturday, Jan. 13. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m.
