WINONA LAKE, IND. – Spring Arbor University shot less than 30 percent from the floor on Saturday afternoon as the Cougars suffered a 63-47 loss on the road to Grace College inside the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center in Winona Lake, Indiana.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A tough shooting performance led to a setback for Spring Arbor on Saturday. The Cougars shot just 25 percent from the field through the first two quarters helping Grace take a 31-23 lead into the halftime break.
- Spring Arbor got it going in the third quarter behind eight points from Rachel Nelson and five more from Anne Marie Wright. The Cougars clawed back to within six, 41-35, at the 3:30 mark of the period, but the Lancers closed the quarter on a 10-5 run to extend the margin back to double digits.
- The home team recorded the first seven points in the fourth quarter on their way to the win.
FOR THE COUGARS
- Nelson and Wright finished with 13 points apiece to lead Spring Arbor. Autumn Goggin posted seven points and four assists while Ryann Laier added six points and seven rebounds. Sara White also grabbed seven boards to go along with four points.
- Spring Arbor was held to 28 percent (15-for-53) shooting, including 7-for-26 from three-point range.
- The Cougars were a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line.
FOR THE LANCERS
- Three Lancers scored in double figures, including Brooke Sugg, who had a team-high 15.
- Grace was limited to 36 percent (20-for-55) from the field.
- The Lancers forced SAU into 17 turnovers and converted those giveaways into 21 points. The home team also held a 43-34 edge on the glass.
