FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team fell 82-45 against the University of Saint Francis on Wednesday evening at the Hutzell Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor suffered one of its worst shooting nights of the season against a stingy Saint Francis defense.
- USF, which ranks among the best defensive teams in the Crossroads League, also forced the Cougars into 12 turnovers in the first two quarters. The home team capitalized on those takeaways and build an insurmountable 46-22 lead at halftime.
- Saint Francis was relentless on the offensive end as well shooting a season-high 58 percent from the floor. USF did most of its damage in the post, scoring 44 points in the paint.

- Saint Francis was led by Gerka, who posted 13 points.
- USF shot 58 percent (32-for-55) overall and hit 9-of-16 shots from behind the arc.
- Saint Francis outscored SAU 44-14 on points in the paint and out-rebounded the Cougars 40-22.
