HUNTINGTON, Ind. – For the eighth consecutive year, the Spring Arbor University women's soccer team finished at the top of the Crossroads League. The No. 3 ranked Cougars defeated Huntington University 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon to claim a share of the league's regular season title.
Spring Arbor and Grace College finished the regular season tied at the top of the league standings. But, SAU owns the head-to-head tiebreaker by virtue of its 3-0 victory over the Lancers on Oct. 17 and will be the No. 1-seed for the upcoming Crossroads League Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman Makenzie Selvius provided what proved to be the game-winner for Spring Arbor in the 17th minute.
- Fellow freshman Lexi Ponstein added an insurance tally in the 61st minute.
- Spring Arbor racked up 15 shots in the contest while holding Huntington to three – zero on frame. The Cougars also held a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks.
- The shutout was 12th of the season for SAU.
UP NEXT
Spring Arbor will be the No. 1-seed and have home field advantage throughout in the Crossroads League Tournament, which is set to begin Wednesday, Oct. 31.
