MARION, Ind. – Bethany Balcer's goal in the 72nd minute broke a 1-1 tie and helped push the No. 1 ranked Spring Arbor University women's soccer team past Crossroads League foe Indiana Wesleyan University 2-1 on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor grabbed the lead early behind a goal from freshman Alicia Hall in the sixth minute of action. The goal was the third of the year for Hall, who has now recorded a point in five of the last six matches.
- Indiana Wesleyan, which is one of six Crossroads League teams either ranked or receiving votes in the national poll, leveled the score before halftime with a goal from Tia Sanford.
- In the 72nd minute, Balcer broke the deadlock with her league-leading 12th goal of the season.
- Spring Arbor and Indiana Wesleyan finished with nine shots apiece.
