SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – No. 2 ranked Spring Arbor University rolled past No. 13 Grace College 3-0 on Saturday to capture the 2018 Crossroads League Tournament title and the league's automatic bid to the 35th annual NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship.
Senior Bethany Balcer scored all three of the Cougars' goals to help the team claim its ninth straight tournament title.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor created a scoring chance less than in a minute into the match when a cross from Balcer nearly connected with Morgan Marshall in front of the goal.
- The Cougars got on the scoreboard in the 23rd minute. Makenzie Selvius slipped a pass in behind the Lancer defense to Balcer, who dribbled around the goalkeeper and fired a shot into the open net.
- Balcer would tack on two more goals early in the second half to put the game out of reach.
- Goalkeeper Allison Keizer made two saves in the shutout.
- Grace allowed just 10 goals all season with six of those coming in two matches against Spring Arbor.

Spring Arbor will learn its opponent for the national tournament opening round matchup – set for Saturday, Nov. 17 – during the championship bracket reveal on Monday, Nov. 12. The winners of the opening round matches advance to the tournament's final site in Orange Beach, Alabama.
