HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor and Northwestern Ohio continued its rivalry Wednesday afternoon. Over the past three seasons, the two teams have met twice in the national tournament semifinals and once in the championship final.

- Despite seeing few chances on the day, Spring Arbor made the most of a late opportunity to even the score. Following a Racer foul, Malorie Henderlong served a free kick into the box that found the head of Marshall for the equalizer.
- Northwestern Ohio finished the match with nine shots compared to Spring Arbor's eight. However, the Cougars held a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
- Goalkeeper Allison Keizer made four saves on the day.
