SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Huntington University staged a fourth quarter comeback to defeat the Spring Arbor University women's basketball team 73-63 on Saturday afternoon.
For three quarters, Spring Arbor was in control against Huntington, who is receiving votes in the national rankings. However, after being held in check for most of the game, the Foresters saw an offensive explosion over the final 10 minutes, shooting 83 percent on their way to outscoring SAU 29-10 to complete the comeback.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor and Huntington went back and forth in the first quarter, exchanging the lead four times, but a half-court, buzzer-beater by Cierra Lipps gave the Cougars a 19-16 lead heading into the second.
- SAU led almost the entire way through the second quarter. Teona Feldpausch started a 7-0 run midway through the period to help put the Cougars up by eight before taking a 34-28 advantage into halftime.
- The Cougars maintained their lead in the third quarter. Anne Marie Wright and Feldpausch combined for 14 of SAU's 19 points in the period, including six during the team's 9-2 run to close out the quarter.
- Huntington erased the deficit in the first five minutes of the fourth quarter. The Foresters made five of their first six shots in the period as part of a 14-2 run. HU finished the quarter going 10-of-12 from the field and 8-for-11 from the free throw line.
FOR THE COUGARS
- Wright posted a team-high 19 points while Feldpausch recorded a career-best 14 points to go along with four steals and three rebounds. Gracie Cabana had 10 points and four assists.
- Spring Arbor had one of its best shooting performances of the season and finished the game shooting 47 percent (25-for-53) from the field.
FOR THE FORESTERS
- Huntington was led by Brooke Saylor, who notched 21 points, including eight during the fourth quarter to help fuel the comeback, and 10 rebounds. Sarah Fryman followed with 17 points Sara Doi added 12.
- The Foresters shot 55 percent (29-for-53) in the game, but were just 2-for-14 from three-point range.
- HU out-rebounded Spring Arbor 37-20, including 15 offensive boards, which it converted into 15 second-chance points.
