SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Junior Teona Feldpausch scored 19 points, grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds and dished out a career-high nine assists to just miss recording a triple-double as the Spring Arbor University women's basketball team defeated Bethel University 71-64 on Wednesday night inside the McDonald Athletic Center.
Spring Arbor was in control throughout much of the game, leading by as many as 25, but Bethel refused to go away quietly. An 18-2 fourth quarter run by the visitors closed the gap to four, 68-64, with less than a minute remaining in the game. However, Cierra Lipps helped the Cougars hold off the Pilots' furious comeback by sinking three clutch free throws down the stretch, giving SAU its first Crossroads League victory of the season.
