MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team fell to Mount Vernon Nazarene University 65-51 in Crossroads League action on Saturday afternoon.
Anne Marie Wright led all scorers with 23 points. Gracie Cabana had 14 points and six rebounds while Teona Feldpausch finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor scored the first four points of the game behind buckets from Grace Shoobridge and Cabana.
- Mount Vernon Nazarene responded with a 10-0 run and would never relinquish the lead.
- SAU trailed 59-44 with 5:52 remaining in the game before scoring five straight points to narrow the deficit to 10, but that was as close as the Cougars would get.
FOR SPRING ARBOR
- Wright posted 23 points to lead Spring Arbor – her second 20-point performance of the season.
- Cabana followed with 14 points and six rebounds while Feldpausch added 10 points, seven boards and a team-high four assists.
- Spring Arbor shot 33 percent (18-for-54) from the field and 64 percent (9-for-14) from the free throw line.
FOR MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE
- MVNU's leading scorer was Maggie Coe while Taylor Gregory recorded a double-double with 11 points and 18 rebounds.
- Mount Vernon Nazarene went 25-for-58 from the floor for a 43 percent shooting percentage. Spring Arbor held MVNU to 27 percent (5-for-18) from 3-point range.
