UPLAND, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University softball team was swept in a road doubleheader against Taylor University on Wednesday. The Cougars fell 10-2 in the opener and 6-0 in the second game.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Sydney Taylor put Spring Arbor on top, 2-1, with a two-run home run in the top of the fourth inning.
- Taylor, which entered the day on a five-game winning streak, answered with nine unanswered runs over the next three frames to remain unbeaten in Crossroads League play.
- Kyla Semones and Hannah Sutton were each 2-for-3 while Taylor and Hope Longenbarger scored SAU's only runs.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- The Trojans got their bats going again early in game two, scoring twice in the first inning.
- The home team added to its lead with one in the third and three more runs in the fifth.
- TU pitchers Darby Shaw and Lauren Kanai limited Spring Arbor to no runs and four hits in the game.
- Melody Donovan pitched 4.2 innings and gave up six runs, but only three earned. Kelsey Sturgeon added 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.
