However, Wirgau would sit down the next three Trojans to escape the inning without any damage.
  • Spring Arbor scored the lone run of the game in the home half of the fourth inning. Kyla Semones reached on a one-out double and, two batters later, scored on a base hit by Jade Nowe.
  • Four different Cougars recorded hits. Along with Semones and Nowe, Chloe Gignac and Abbey Burdgick collected one hit apiece.

GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS

  • Taylor jumped on Spring Arbor right away in game two, scoring in each of the first three innings.
  • The Cougars answered though with two runs in the first and another in the second. In the first, Cora Millay scored on a sacrifice fly by Hope Longenbarger and Nowe followed with an RBI double, bringing home Gignac. SAU took advantage of a TU error to plate their run in the second inning as Amber Beal scored on Brookelyn Stafford's single up the middle.
  • Trailing 7-5 in the sixth, Spring Arbor brought the go-ahead run to the plate, but Taylor escaped the jam with no further damage.
  • Stafford finished a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate while Gignac, Semones and Sydney Taylor picked up two hits apiece.
