MARION, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University softball team suffered a pair of setbacks at No. 11 ranked Indiana Wesleyan University on Tuesday. The Cougars fell to the Wildcats 8-0 in game one before dropping game two by an identical 8-0 score.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Indiana Wesleyan limited Spring Arbor to just two hits in Tuesday's opener.
- The Cougars trailed by only four heading into the fifth inning, but the Wildcats tacked on two runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth to bring the eight-run mercy rule into effect.
- Chloe Gignac and Hannah Sutton recorded the Cougars' two hits.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- After pitching six innings in game one, IWU's Mckenzy Ridge was back in the circle and silenced the Spring Arbor bats again in game two.
- Trailing 2-0, the Cougars threated in the third inning, putting the tying run on base. But, Indiana Wesleyan would escape unscathed.
- The Wildcats tallied two runs in the bottom of the third inning before adding four in the fourth.
- Jade Nowe was 2-for-2 while Cora Millay and Brookelyn Stafford registered one hit apiece.
