SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's soccer team allowed a pair of first half goals and was unable to recover, falling to Lawrence Tech 3-2 on Wednesday night in its final non-conference contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lawrence Tech scored two goals within a minute of each midway through the first half. Laura Silverman scored off a corner kick in the 27th minute before Aiyana Reid added another tally shortly after the ensuing kickoff.
- Spring Arbor got on the scoreboard in the first minute of the second half after Mackenzie Selvius, the reigning Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week, buried a penalty kick.
- The Blue Devils responded six minutes later, however, with another goal to increase their cushion back to two.
- Alyvia Thorne scored in the 62nd minute with an assist from Morgan Marshall, but LTU would hold on to earn the win.
- Spring Arbor outshot Lawrence Tech 13-11 while both teams earned three corner kicks apiece.
- Emily Ponstein finished the night with six saves in goal for SAU.
