Volleyball falls at Bethel

MISHAWKA, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team fell to Bethel University in three sets (25-13, 25-8, 25-21) on Wednesday evening. 

The loss dropped the Cougars to 4-6 overall and 0-5 in the Crossroads League while the Pilots picked up their first league victory, improving to 6-12 and 1-4 in league play.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

  • Bethel recorded a .293 hitting percentage on the night – its highest percentage of the season – while Spring Arbor was held to a .078 mark.
  • Sydney Ritz posted a team-high nine kills while Maggie Watson finished with six.
  • Emily Martin had 16 assists, and Alison Ford and Paige Porter picked up 12 digs apiece.

Spring Arbor continues its road swing with a trip to Grace College (7-9, 3-2 CL) on Friday, Sept. 20 and will play at Huntington University (8-7, 2-3 CL) on Saturday, Sept. 21.
