SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team suffered a pair of setbacks in Crossroads League action this week. The Cougars fell to No. 5 ranked Marian University 76-48 on Wednesday before dropping a contest to Indiana Wesleyan University 78-58 on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marian raced out to a 20-3 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.
- After the slow start, Spring Arbor settled in and played with the No. 5 ranked Knights the rest of the way. However, the deficit was too much to overcome.
- Anne Marie Wright finished with a game-high 24 points while sinking six 3-pointers – just one 3-pointer off of her career-high.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor led Indiana Wesleyan 9-4 midway through the first quarter. However, the Wildcats outscored SAU 11-0 over the final five minutes of the period to take a 15-9 lead, and the visitors would never trail again.
- Wright turned in her second straight 20-point performance finishing with 21 points. Gracie Cabana and Teona Feldpausch registered 16 points each.
- Indiana Wesleyan was led by Dayton Groninger's 21 points. The Wildcats shot 57 percent (31-for-54) on the afternoon.
