Jocindra Glee named Assistant Track & Field Coach

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University head track and field coach CJ Fowler has announced the addition of Jocindra Glee to the coaching staff. Glee will work primarily with the long sprints and hurdles.

Glee joins the Cougars after having spent the last two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at two NCAA Division I institutions. She most recently served at the University of Central Florida in Orlando where she focused on long and short sprints, as well as hurdles. She coached the bronze medalist in the 400 meter dash at the 2020 American Athletic Conference indoor championships. In January 2019, she began coaching at her alma mater, Chicago State University. With CSU, she coached long sprints and helped mentor the men's 400 record holder, who earned second place at the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) outdoor championships.

Glee was an accomplished sprinter at Chicago State where she still holds the school records in the 400, the 400 meter hurdles and as a member of the 4x400 meter relay team. She was a two-time CSU Athlete of the Year in 2017 and 2018, as well as the CSU track & field MVP in 2018. Glee captured three WAC championships in her decorated career – twice in the indoor 400 and once in the outdoor 400.

Glee, originally from Orlando, Florida, graduated from Chicago State University in 2019 with a degree in psychology. She currently resides in Spring Arbor.
