DuPree tallies first career goals in win over Huntington

SPRING ARBOR, Mich.Caleb DuPree tallied the first two goals of his career to lead the Spring Arbor University men's soccer team past previously unbeaten Huntington University 3-0 on Saturday night at the Cougar Soccer Complex.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
  • The first half was scoreless through the first 43 minutes, but just before halftime a shot from DuPree would slip through the hands of Huntington's goalkeeper and into the back of the net to give Spring Arbor a 1-0 advantage heading into the intermission.
  • DuPree would record his second tally of the night in the 59th minute. Seconds after subbing onto the field, DuPree finished a corner kick from Zoltan Suranyi with a header past the HU keeper.
  • Cole Russell capped the scoring for SAU, converting on a penalty kick in the 85th minute.
  • Spring Arbor finished the night outshooting Huntington 17-5 and held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.
  • Christopher Banfi, the reigning NAIA Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, recorded his third shutout of the campaign.
