Cougars cruise to Senior Night victory

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's soccer team celebrated Senior Night with a 10-0 victory over Bethel University on Wednesday night.

Lauren Marshall scored a season-high four goals and added two assists to help lead SAU to its seventh straight win, while Madison Marshall and Lexi Ponstein tallied two goals apiece.

Following the match, the Cougars recognized five seniors, MyKenzie Compton, Catherine Thom, Hope Hernandez, Alyvia Thorne and Samantha Tracey, for their contributions to the program.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
  • Spring Arbor's 10 goals were the most scored in a single match since recording an 11-0 win over Cincinnati Christian in 2017.
  • Lauren Marshall scored four goals, becoming the second SAU player this season to register at least four tallies in a game joining Mackenzie Selvius, who scored five times against Saint Francis.
  • Spring Arbor outshot Bethel 28-0 on the night.
  • The shutout was the sixth of the season for the Cougars – the third-most in the NAIA.
