SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team knocked off one of the hottest teams in the Crossroads League on Saturday, coming from behind to beat Grace College in five sets.
The win improved the Cougars to 5-3 on the season and a perfect 5-0 at home inside the McDonald Athletic Center.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- The Lancers entered having won six of their first eight matches, including a sweep of nationally ranked Indiana Wesleyan University.
- Grace led 22-17 late in the first set, but SAU rallied behind an 8-1 run to claim the set.
- Spring Arbor was in position to grab a 2-0 set lead, up 21-18 in the second, but the visitors flipped the script winning six consecutive points to level the match.
- The Lancers rode an early run to a third set victory, but SAU bounced back, winning a back-and-forth fourth game to force a decisive fifth set.
- Down 5-2 early in the frame, SAU tallied three straight points to tie the score. Later in the set, the Cougars found themselves trailing 11-8, but rallied back again with a 6-1 run. Grace fought off one match point before Macey Rupp completed the comeback with her fourth kill of the set.
- Rupp finished with a team-high 13 kills while adding five blocks. Alison Ford had 11 kills and McKenna Peters added nine. Hope Notter posted 28 assists with three aces. Paige Porter also recorded three aces while picking up 24 digs.
