SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team stayed hot at home and defeated Taylor University in four sets (25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 25-18) on Wednesday night inside the McDonald Athletic Center.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- With the score tied 18-18 in the first set, Spring Arbor went on a 6-1 run – highlighted by aces from Hope Notter and Frances Churchwell – on its way to winning the opening frame.
- Taylor narrowly escaped with a win in set two, but the Cougars bounced right back taking the third set and control of the match.
- The fourth set was back-and-forth early until Kyara Black fueled a 7-0 SAU run, posting two kills and a block, to help the Cougars win their third straight match at home.
- Alison Ford led the way with 13 kills while hitting at a blistering .462 clip. Alison Nibbelink followed with a career-high 12 kills and Black added a season-best 10 kills. McKenna Peters and Claudia Ellis added eight. Hope Notter finished with 26 assists and Sarah Elisason dished out 17.
- The Cougars recorded a season-high nine aces, including three by Churchwell.
- Paige Porter and Emily Johnson anchored the defense with 16 and 11 digs, respectively. Black made a big impact at the net, notching a season-high nine blocks.
