SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Playing in its first game since Nov. 21, the Spring Arbor University women's basketball team battled its way to a 62-59 victory over Cornerstone University on Saturday.
An old-fashioned three-point play by freshman
Addison Bayman with one minute remaining put SAU in front, and the Cougars would hang on for their third consecutive win. Bayman finished the game with a season-best 16 points and five assists while
Teona Feldpausch registered a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The lead changed hands eight times on Saturday while neither team ever led by more than seven points.
- Spring Arbor led 42-41 with three minutes to go in the third quarter, but Cornerstone would close out the period on a 7-3 run to take a four-point advantage into the final quarter.
- Despite trailing for the first nine minutes of the fourth quarter, the Cougars stayed within striking distance. Down by three, 58-55, with 2:14 remaining, a bucket by Anne Marie Wright closed the gap to one. Then, with 1:05 on the clock, Bayman was fouled while driving to the basket and converted the free throw attempt to put SAU in front.
- Following three big defensive stops, Grace Shoobridge sealed the game with a pair of free throws in the final seconds.
- Bayman and Feldpausch scored 16 points apiece to lead the Cougars while Feldpausch also grabbed 10 rebounds to post her second double-double of the season. Shoobridge was two points shy of a double-double, finishing with eight points and a game-high 13 boards.
- Cornerstone's Sterling DeGayner and Shelby Nyboer recorded 17 points apiece.
