SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University men's basketball team triumphed over Great Lakes Christian College, 94-69, on Monday night. After beating Goshen on Saturday, the Cougars have won two straight games, and six out of seven since resuming play on Jan. 16.
Daniel Cluster led Spring Arbor in scoring with 20 points and collected his first double-double of the season, as he finished with 13 rebounds.
Connor Cottingham was on fire from beyond the arc, knocking down 5-of-7 shots from deep and finishing with 17 points.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor got off to a hot start, going on a 25-6 run to start the game.
- After a 3-pointer from Cottingham with under eight minutes to play in the first half, the Cougars went up by 20, leading 37-17.
- Tyler Kaminski knocked down a 3-ball of his own with about five minutes remaining to put the Cougars up 42-19, their largest lead of the half.
- Great Lakes Christian inched closer and cut the lead down to 12 at the end of the first half, 52-40.
- Cottingham's 12 first-half points led the Cougars and Trent Temple led the Crusaders with 15 points at the break.
- The Crusaders made it a close ballgame at the beginning of the second half, and were trailing by just eight points five minutes in.
- But, the Cougars kept on scoring, bringing their lead back above 20 after a 3-pointer from Brandon Durnell with just over seven minutes to play. Durnell would finish with 12 points and 14 rebounds, picking up his eighth double-double of the season.
- Spring Arbor did not look back, winning 94-69 – the second-most points scored by the team this season.
- Cluster proved to be a challenge for the Crusaders in the paint, as he finished shooting 9-12 from the field.
- Temple finished with a team-high 23 points for the Crusaders and Jahmal Eggleston scored 21.
- Five Cougars scored in double-digits: Cluster with 20, Cottingham with 17, Denver Cade with 13, Durnell with 12, and Joshua Laman with 10.
