ROSSFORD, Ohio – The Spring Arbor University women's soccer team topped Madonna University 4-0 in its spring opener at Total Sports Complex in Rossford, Ohio on Tuesday afternoon.

- Spring Arbor returned to action on Tuesday after a three month break. Despite the long layoff, head coach Jason Crist and his squad didn't miss a beat, finding the back of the net twice in the first 17 minutes. Lauren Marshall put SAU on the board in the 13th minute after cleaning up a rebound in front of the goal. Moments later, Lexi Ponstein bent a corner kick into the goal to double the lead.
- Madison Marshall scored before halftime to stake the Cougars to a 3-0 lead at the break.
- SAU's final tally came from Mackenzie Selvius in the 72nd minute.
- Samantha Tracey and Emily Ponstein combined for two saves in the shutout.
- Spring Arbor outshot Madonna 23-2 and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
