Frost tallies career win No. 100

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. -- Spring Arbor University head women's basketball coach Ryan Frost tallied his 100th career coaching victory Monday night in a 70-52 victory over Grace Christian University.

Frost becomes the third skipper in the history of the program to reach the century mark, joining Tom Britsch (289 wins) and the coaching duo of Kay and Darrell Dunckel (207 wins).

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
  • Spring Arbor came out firing in the first quarter, outscoring the Tigers 20-12. Gracie Cabana sparked the offense, hitting three shots from beyond the arc in the period.
  • The momentum continued in the second quarter. This time it was Grace Shoobridge leading the charge, going 5-for-7 from the field and scoring 10 points in the period. The Cougars would take a 20 point lead into halftime, 43-23.
  • Spring Arbor continued to dominate in the second half. Over a one-minute span in the quarter, Cierra Lipps scored eight consecutive points to stretch the SAU lead to 27, 58-31.
  • Cabana continues to close in on 1,000 career points. The senior from Grass Lake, Michigan scored a season-high 15 and now sits just six points away from the milestone. Cabana also registered six rebounds, five assists and three steals.
  • Shoobridge and Lipps tallied 14 points apiece while Anne Marie Wright chipped in 10. Teona Feldpausch finished with eight points and 13 rebounds.
  • Grace Christian's Megan George led the Tigers with 19 points, shooting 4-for-8 from 3-point land.
