SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team stepped away from Crossroads League play to take on Concordia University in non-league action Wednesday. The Cougars fell to the Cardinals 9-3 in the opener before dropping game two 4-1 in 10 innings.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Concordia capitalized on a pair of Spring Arbor errors to score three runs in the first inning.
- The Cardinals extended their lead to 5-1 after five innings, but broke the game open with four runs in the sixth.
- Jackson Kitchen went 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored.
- Vincent Herschberger suffered the loss on the mound after surrendering three runs on two hits in two innings pitched. Cade Kontny and Trammell Lindstrom each pitched a scoreless inning of relief in the game.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- A stable of SAU arms combined to hold Concordia to just one run over nine innings. However, the Cardinals erupted for three runs in the 10th inning to steal game two.
- The Cougars scored their only run of the game in the first inning when a sacrifice fly from Landon Raczkowski allowed Glenn Miller to cross the plate.
