FOLEY, Ala. – For the fifth time in six years, Spring Arbor University has advanced to the semifinal round of the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship after defeating No. 2 Southeastern University 1-0 on Thursday evening.
Madison Marshall tallied the lone goal less than two minutes into the match. The goal was Marshall's third of the final site after scoring a pair in SAU's 3-2 win over Eastern Oregon University on Tuesday.

- Spring Arbor got the only goal it needed less than two minutes into the match. Madison Marshall split a pair of Southeastern defenders outside the 18-yard box before tucking a left-footed shot just inside the far post.
- The Cougars shut down the high-powered Southeastern attack, limiting the Fire to just two shots on goal.
- Southeastern's best chance came in the 81st minute, but a diving save by SAU goalkeeper Samantha Tracey denied SEU's leading goal scorer, Aisha Solorzano, and preserved the Cougars' 1-0 lead.
- The shutout was the 13th of the season for Spring Arbor – the third-most in the country this season.
