WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University softball team prevailed in a slugfest at Grace College to take game one of Saturday's doubleheader 14-13. The Lancers battled back to edge out the Cougars 8-6 in game two.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor recorded 17 hits on their way to a 14-13 win over Grace in game one. Emmalee Hamp led the way for the Cougars going 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and five RBI's, including a clutch RBI-double in the seventh inning to score a key insurance run.
- Grace trailed 14-10 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, but rallied back to get within one run. Hamp would take the circle and strike out two batters to earn the save.
- Jessie Panchaud went 2-for-4 with three RBI's and two runs scored while Hannah Laurin, Sarah Matlock and Abbey Lafler also collected two hits apiece.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Grace grabbed an early 5-2 lead in game two with three runs in the first inning and two more in the third.
- Chloe Gignac and Panchaud picked up RBI hits in the fourth inning to get SAU within one, 5-4, and the Cougars would tie the game in the sixth on a RBI hit by Allie Funk.
- The Lancers retook the lead with three runs in the bottom of the sixth, but the Cougars did not go down without a fight. Hamp and Jade Nowe started the seventh with back-to-back hits, and Hamp would score on a Lancer error, but that was as close as SAU would get.
- Panchaud, Hamp, Nowe, Matlock and Gignac recorded two hits apiece.
