ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University softball team earned a pair of wins over Concordia University Friday evening. The Cougars defeated the Cardinals 4-1 in 10 innings in game one and triumphed 3-1 in game two.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Fresh off earning NAIA National Player of the Week, freshman Emmalee Hamp picked up her fourth win in her last five starts in the circle. Hamp out-dueled Concordia's Lauren Reichel over 10 innings in game one.
- Hamp held the Cardinals to just one run and scattered seven hits over 10 innings of work while striking out 10 batters.
- With the score tied 0-0 in the 10th inning, Spring Arbor pushed four runs across the plate in the top half of the inning. A base hit by Cora Millay brought in the game's first run and Hamp followed with a two-RBI double. Jade Nowe capped the scoring with a base hit to bring home Hamp.
- Hamp went 2-for-5 with two RBI's and a run scored while Nowe also picked up two hits and an RBI.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor wasted no time getting on the board in game two, plating two runs in the top of the first inning. Jessie Panchaud scored on a Concordia error and Hannah Laurin crossed the plate on a hit by Marisa Morgan.
- That would be all the run support SAU starting pitcher Kelsey Sturgeon needed. Sturgeon allowed just one run in an outstanding complete game effort.
