MARION, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team dropped its first game of the Crossroads League Tournament, falling 8-2 to Taylor University on Friday.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Glenn Miller hit a two-out double in the top of the first inning and Landon Raczkowski followed with a base hit to give Spring Arbor an early 1-0 lead.
- The Cougars added another run in the third on an RBI double by Drew Anstead.
- Sean Cassel blanked the Taylor offense through the first four innings but the Trojans got their bats going in the fifth, scoring three times in the fifth to take a 3-2 lead.
- After pushing a run across in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 4-2, Taylor tallied four more in the seventh to break the game open.
- Raczkowski went 2-for-5 with a RBI and a run scored.
- Cassel went 6.1 innings allowing eight runs on eight hits with six strikeouts. Zach Kraabel added 1.2 innings of scoreless relief with three strikeouts.
