WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team opened the 2021 season at the Keiser University Volleyball Invitational sponsored by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.
In their first match of the tournament, the Cougars fell 3-0 to No. 2 ranked Jamestown – a national semifinalist a season ago.
Later in the day, SAU faced off against Southeastern. The Cougars claimed the first set, but the Fire would rally back to win the next three.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Alison Ford recorded a team-high seven kills and McKenna Peters followed with four. Senior setter Hope Notter handed out 13 assists.
- Frances Churchwell picked up 11 digs while Ford had nine.
- Jamestown hit .329 on the day and held Spring Arbor to a .011 hitting percentage.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Against Southeastern, Peters and Claudia Ellis reached double-digit kills. Peters posted a match-high 14 and Ellis finished with 13 while hitting at a .409 clip.
- Notter registered 42 assists – one off her career-high – while also adding two aces, two blocks and nine digs.
- Churchwell had a team-best 13 digs.
