PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The Spring Arbor University women's soccer team opened its season with a pair of games in Arizona.
The No. 3 ranked Cougars played Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to a 1-1 draw on Monday night before posting a dominant 4-0 victory over No. 10 Eastern Oregon University on Friday night.

- Mackenzie Selvius opened the scoring with a goal in the 28th minute.
- Spring Arbor maintained its lead until midway through the second half when Embry-Riddle's Raelyn Yoshioka found the equalizer.
- Samantha Tracey and Emily Ponstein combined to make nine saves on the evening.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor's second game of its Arizona trip was a rematch of last year's national tournament first round matchup, facing No. 10 ranked Eastern Oregon.
- The Cougars took control of the match early with two goals in less than a minute. Fara Serra scored in the 24th minute and less than 50 seconds later, Becca Mindling found the back of the net.
- SAU added to its lead just before halftime with a goal from Selvius in the 45th minute.
- Selvius struck again moments into the second half – her third goal in two matches.
- Spring Arbor outshot Eastern Oregon 14-3.
- Tracey and Ponstein combined to record the shutout.
