LIVONIA, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball extended its winning streak to five with a pair of wins on the first day of the Madonna University Julie Martin Memorial Classic.

The Cougars opened with a 3-1 win over Roosevelt University and cruised past the University of Michigan-Dearborn 3-0.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

• Alison Ford and McKenna Peters led the way for Spring Arbor. Ford finished with 15 kills and a .353 hitting percentage while Peters went for 11 kills hitting at a .375 clip. Alison Nibbelink and Macey Rupp chipped in 10 and nine kills, respectively.
• Setter Hope Notter handed out 29 assists. Claudia Ellis recorded a team-high four aces to go along with seven kills.
• Frances Churchwell and Ford totaled 12 digs apiece.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

• Nibbelink had double-digit kills, finishing with 12, to lead the Cougars. Peters had nine and Ellis, who hit at a blistering .636 clip, chipped in eight. Notter posted 28 assists and nine digs.
• Churchwell and Emily Johnson anchored the defense with 10 digs apiece. Johnson also added three aces.
