FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team battled back to earn a thrilling five-set victory over Crossroads League for Saint Francis on Wednesday night. The Cougars fell behind 0-2, but erased the early deficit and downed USF in five.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor got off to a slow start, recording a combined -0.077 hitting percentage over the first two sets as Saint Francis built a two-game lead.
- In the third set, SAU used a late 6-0 run – fueled by kills from Sarah Eliason and Claudia Ellis – to clinch their first game of the night.
- The Cougars hit a blistering .429 in the fourth set and used a lengthy 9-0 run to even the match and force a decisive fifth set.
- In a back and forth fifth set, Saint Francis fought off three match points before Spring Arbor was able to put the home team away and complete the come from behind victory.
- Alison Ford finished with a team-high 16 kills, zero errors and a .640 hitting percentage. Alison Nibbelink had 10 kills and McKenna Peters added eight. Hope Notter and Hayden Fortress combined for 41 assists, and Frances Churchwell picked up a team-best 17 digs.
