WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University men's basketball team dropped its Crossroads League opener on Saturday, falling 96-84 on the road at No. 3 ranked Grace College.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor went into halftime leading 48-44. The Cougars shot 59 percent from the field through the first 20 minutes, including going 6-for-9 from 3-point range.
- SAU led 55-50 early in the second half, but Grace would hold the Cougars scoreless for nearly five minutes while scoring 19 unanswered points to take control of the game.
- Gabe Newhof led all scorers with 23 points while also grabbing seven rebounds. Eli White hit a career-high six 3-pointers on his way to scoring a season-best 22 points. Travis Grayson added 14 points and five assists.
- Grace had five players score in double figures, including Cade Gibbs, who finished with 19 points.
