WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team suffered its first setback of the season on Saturday, falling on the road to Grace College 75-70 in the Crossroads League opener.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor held a 19-13 lead after the first 10 minutes of play, but Grace battled back and led 38-33 at halftime and 59-47 through three quarters.
- The Cougars refused to quit and clawed their way back into the game in the fourth quarter. After trailing by as many as 14, SAU used an 18-6 run to get within two, 67-65, with 3:52 remaining in the game.
- Grace built its lead back to six, but a clutch 3-pointer by Cierra Lipps with just over a minute to play closed the gap to three, 71-68. However, the Lancers made enough free throws down the stretch to hang on for the win and deal the Cougars their first loss of the season.
- Alana Nelson had a team-high 18 points and grabbed six rebounds. Alex Long followed with 15 points and nine boards. Alize Tripp and Daelynn Jackson finished with 12 points apiece.
- Grace was led by Karlee Feldman, who posted a game-high 25 points and 12 rebounds.
