Men’s Basketball drops road decision

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University men's basketball team suffered an 80-53 loss to the University of Saint Francis on Saturday afternoon.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
  • After taking a double-digit lead into halftime, Saint Francis saw its lead trimmed to seven, 40-33, at the 15:24 mark of the second half. However, the home team would hold Spring Arbor scoreless from the field for five minutes while taking command of the game with a 19-5 run during that stretch.
  • The Cougars were limited to 32 percent (18-for-56) shooting and their lowest scoring output of the season.
  • Gabe Newhof finished with a team-best 15 points while hauling in eight rebounds while Eli White posted 11 points and four assists. Austin Braun had nine points and four assists, and Kevyn Robertson had 13 rebounds to go along with seven points.
  • Saint Francis was led by Zane Burke, who registered 20 points, six rebounds and five assists. Brayton Bailey followed with 16 points.
