SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Alana Nelson scored a game-high 25 points and hauled in 15 rebounds to help power the Spring Arbor University women's basketball team past Goshen College 79-61 on Saturday inside the McDonald Athletic Center.
 
The win snapped a three-game losing streak and gave the Cougars their first Crossroads League win of the season, moving to 5-3 overall and 1-3 in league play.

• An 18-0 first quarter run put Spring Arbor in the driver's seat and the Cougars never let off the gas cruising to their first Crossroads League win of the season.
• Nelson recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 25 points and a season-high 15 rebounds to lead SAU.
• Grace Shoobridge and Daelynn Jackson finished with 11 points apiece while Cierra Lipps added nine points and three assists.
• Goshen's leading scorer was Zion Neat, who finished with 21 points.
