SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Alex Long and Grace Shoobridge combined for 43 points to lead the Spring Arbor University women's basketball team to a 61-50 win over Madonna University on Wednesday night inside the McDonald Athletic Center.
 
Long finished with a game-high 23 points while Shoobridge recorded her second double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Spring Arbor and Madonna were tied after three quarters, 44-44.
• A 15-4 run, ignited by back-to-back buckets from Alex Long to start the fourth quarter, put SAU in front for good.
• Long led the way for the Cougars with 23 points while adding four rebounds and four steals. Grace Shoobridge added a season-high 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to record her first double-double of the season.
• Alana Nelson hauled in a season-high 18 rebounds to go along with her seven points.
• Madonna was led by 17 points from Delani Robinson.
• Spring Arbor shot 42 percent from the field while holding Madonna to 33 percent shooting.
• The Cougars had a big advantage on the glass as well with 51 rebounds compared to the Crusaders' 36.
