LIMA, Ohio – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team closed out 2022 with a dominant 88-68 win on the road at the University of Northwestern Ohio on Friday.
 
Alize Tripp and Grace Shoobridge led the way with 20 points apiece while Alana Nelson collected her seventh double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
 
The win was the fifth straight for the Cougars, who improved to 11-4 overall on the season.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Spring Arbor extended its winning streak to five games on Friday afternoon while snapping Northwestern Ohio's three-game win streak.
• After ending the first quarter tied 14-14, Spring Arbor started to pull away using a 15-3 run to open the second period.
• The Cougars outscored UNOH 25-19 in the third quarter and 25-18 in the fourth quarter.
• Tripp turned in her second straight 20-point performance, finishing with 20 points to go along with six rebounds. Shoobridge matched her season-high with 20 points and also added six boards. Nelson notched her seventh double-double of the campaign with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
• Spring Arbor shot 51 percent from the field and held UNOH to 41 percent. The Cougars also controlled the glass, out-rebounding the Racers 42-22.
