SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Grace Christian University was able to hold off a late comeback attempt by Spring Arbor University, hanging on to defeat the Cougars 63-58 on Monday night inside the McDonald Athletic Center.
Taylor Folkema scored a game-high 21 points while
Daelynn Jackson nearly recorded a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Grace Christian held an 11-point lead – its largest lead of the night – late in the second quarter, but back-to-back buckets by Jackson and Grace Shoobridge before halftime cut the deficit to seven, 32-25, at the break.
- The Cougars came charging out of the gates in the third quarter with a 17-6 run to grab the lead, including a 9-0 run capped by a 3-pointer from Jackson.
- Spring Arbor trailed by six at the 4:13 mark of the fourth, but four straight points put the home team within two with under two minutes to play. However, that was as close as the Cougars would get.
- Folkema had four rebounds and five steals to go along with her game-high 21 points while Jackson finished with 20 points and nine boards. Shoobridge also had nine rebounds with seven points.
- Grace Chrisitan was led by 17 points from Megan George and a 10-point, 16-rebound double-double from Ashley Hoek.
