OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team exploded for 19 runs in a 19-2 victory over Brescia University in game one of its doubleheader on Tuesday.
Game two of the twinbill ended in a 1-1 tie after the game was called after 10 innings due to time constraints.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- The score was tied 1-1 after one inning before Spring Arbor erupted for six runs in the second and five more in the third to put the game out of reach.
- Evan Lorey went 3-for-3 with four RBI's to pace the SAU offense. Five other Cougars recorded multiple hits, including Bryce Richey, who had three runs scored and two RBI's and Peyton Harding, who drove in three and scored twice.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Brescia led 1-0 through four innings before an RBI single by Ben Redfield tied the score in the fifth inning.
- That would be all the scoring, though, as Cade Kontny, Brant Mullins, and Zach Kraabel combined to throw seven shutout frames.
- Redfield finished going 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI. Lorey and Brandon Haynes also had two hits.
