KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Spring Arbor University softball team picked up a pair of wins during its second day in Florida. The Cougars opened with a 5-4 victory over St. Thomas University before dealing Cornerstone University a 6-4 setback.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- St. Thomas held a 4-1 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth, but a three-run homer by Sarah Matlock evened the score.
- The Cougars walked-off with the win in the bottom of the seventh following an RBI single by Maddie Gillett.
- Matlock and Gillett, both, finished with two hits each. Jade Nowe also collected a pair of hits and an RBI.
- MacKenzie Collins pitched four innings and allowed three runs on three hits with four strikeouts. Elena Jones earned the win tossing the final three frames.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor held off a seventh-inning rally by Cornerstone to earn its second win of the afternoon.
- Emmalee Hamp was 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Chloe Gignac and Abbie Funk picked up two hits apiece.
- Hamp also earned the win in the circle. She pitched five innings allowing five runs on 10 hits and struck out seven. Kelsey Sturgeon closed out the game to earn the save.
