FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University softball team lost a pair of games to the University of Saint Francis on Saturday.
Saint Francis won game one of the doubleheader 11-1 before closing out the afternoon with a 7-3 victory.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Saint Francis plated runs in each of the first four innings on its way to building an 11-0 lead.
- Emmalee Hamp went 2-for-2 with a double while MacKenzie Collins was 1-for-1 with a home run.
- Hamp was hit with the loss after giving up six runs on four hits over two innings pitched. Collins pitched the final two frames and allowed five runs on six hits.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor got on the scoreboard first scoring three times in the top of the inning.
- The home team answered with two runs in the bottom half of the second, and added three runs in the third to take the lead.
- Allie Funk went 2-for-3 with a run scored while Hamp also collected two more hits, including a triple.
- Elena Jones suffered the loss in the circle giving up five runs on six hits over three innings. Kelsey Sturgeon pitched three innings of relief allowing two runs on five hits.
