SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University used a nine-run first inning in game two on Friday to help earn a doubleheader split with Goshen College at Hank Burbridge Field.
The Cougars fell 10-6 in the opener before posting a 10-3 victory in game two.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor held a 4-1 lead after four innings, but Goshen rallied for eight runs in the fifth to pull ahead 9-4.
- A two-RBI single by Brennan Moran in the bottom half of the fifth closed the gap to three, but that was as close as the Cougars would get.
- Moran went 2-for-4 with three RBI's while Bryce Richey scored twice.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Goshen jumped on top with two runs in the top of the first, but Spring Arbor answered immediately with nine runs in the home half of the frame – highlighted by a three-run home run by Landon Raczkowski.
- That would be more than enough run support for starting pitcher Jon Williams, who turned in five solid innings to earn his third victory of the season. Aaron Spry added two scoreless innings of relief.
- Raczkowski finished the game 2-for-4 at the plate with four RBI's while blasting his team-leading eighth homer of the season. Braedon Leathed went 2-for-3, including his first career home run, with two RBI's and two runs scored.
