ADRIAN, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team split a non-conference doubleheader against Siena Heights University on Tuesday.
The Cougars came away with a 5-4 win in eight innings in game one before dropping game two 7-5.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- After falling behind 3-0 in the first inning, Spring Arbor rallied back to win game one in eight innings.
- Bryce Richey drove in a pair of runs with a double in the third inning, and a two-RBI single by Jake Spedoske in the fourth gave SAU a 4-3 advantage.
- Siena Heights tied the score in the fifth to force extra innings.
- In the eighth, Carson Bleicher delivered what proved to be the game-winning hit, singling to right allowing Max Von Gemmingen to cross the plate.
- Richey was 3-for-4 with two RBI's while Bleicher also collected three hits.
- Aaron Spry pitched 5.1 innings of relief allowing only one run while scattering seven hits. Jacob Pavey earned the win pitching 2.2 scoreless innings of relief.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Game two was tied 4-4 after three innings, but Siena Heights tallied three runs in the fourth inning and would hold on to avoid the doubleheader sweep.
- Brandon Haynes was 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored while Von Gemmingen had two RBI's.
- Ryan Ruhlman suffered the loss on the mound after surrendering seven runs over 3.1 innings of work. Josh Murphy pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless relief.
