SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team hosted Mount Vernon Nazarene University and Huntington University on back-to-back days Friday and Saturday. The Cougars and Mount Vernon Nazarene needed all five sets on Friday night, but MVNU escaped with the win before Huntington claimed a 3-0 win over SAU on Saturday.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

• Kendall Bollenbacher posted a season-high 22 kills to go along with four aces and 14 digs but it wasn't enough to lead Spring Arbor past Mount Vernon Nazarene.
• Sarah Eliason and Kelsie Lilly also put up season-highs in kills with 12 each while Alison Nibbelink finished with 11.
• Hayden Fortress and Kenady Cox combined for 49 assists on the night.
• Frances Churchwell collected 17 digs and Abby Rissman finished with 13.
• Mount Vernon Nazarene was led by Ashley Stumperth with 18 kills while Paige Brenner handed out 41 assists.

• Nibbelink recorded a match-high 14 kills against Huntington while hitting at a .417 clip.
• Cox finished with 16 assists and five digs and Fortress tallied 15 assists and five digs.
• Bollenbacher had a team-high nine digs.
• Huntington's Kortney Grimm posted 12 kills and setter Morgan Robrock finished with 30 assists.
