Women’s Soccer comes away with two draws at UNOH Showcase

LIMA, Ohio – No. 5 Spring Arbor University squared off against two NAIA Top 25 ranked opponents at the University of Northwestern Ohio College Soccer Showcase.
 
The Cougars met No. 10 University of the Cumberlands on Saturday and followed with a match against No. 25 Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Monday. Both matches finished in a scoreless draw.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
  • Spring Arbor earned its third straight shutout of the season against No. 10 Cumberlands, who entered the match with wins this season over No. 19 Truett McConnell and No. 3 Central Methodist.
  • The Cougars controlled most of the match, and generated several dangerous chances, including near misses by Madalyn Freitas and Lauren Marshall, but were unable to find the back of the net.
  • Spring Arbor outshot the Patriots 10-6 on the day.
  • Rachel Tanielian made three saves to keep the clean sheet.

  • Spring Arbor finished with a slight 12-11 edge in shots, including five shots from Mackenzie Selvius.
