MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The Spring Arbor baseball team extended their win streak by knocking off Warner University in dramatic fashion.
Warner managed to start the game off well, building a 2-0 advantage by the 3rd inning. When it mattered most, however, the cougars executed. They first got on the board in the 5th inning following a
Brennan Moran RBI double, and then struck again the following inning to tie the ball game 2-2 after
Landon Raczkowski hustled to score off a wild pitch.
In the bottom of the 7th, the Cougars made it their moment.
Brennan Moran singled up the middle, and then advanced to second following a sacrifice bunt from
Jake Spedoske. Freshman
Aiden Brunin stepped to the plate with one out and a runner in scoring position, poised to produce when it mattered most. Brunin did not disappoint, as he sent a ball into left field and watched as Moran hustled around the base path and slid safely into home for the walk-off winner. The Cougars won 3-2.
